2324: Ageism: Ensuring Social Work Practice Addresses It's

Ageism:  Ensuring Social Work Practice Addresses It's Effects on Mental Health. This fast-moving workshop is an opportunity for social workers to learn about ageism, implicit bias, and the intersectional effects on diverse populations. Daily micro-aggressions and bombardment of ageist messages make it difficult to recognize our own biases. This affects our practice with clients already dealing with depression and anxiety. Social workers will review Stereotype Embodiment effects on clients and techniques to proceed with validation, education, and guidance. Short videos and tools/resources will be shared.  Presented by Gina Rossi, LCSW-BACS, DCSW, MHSA. Member:  $50 / Non-Member $85
