(Shreveport).   Practice Applications of Telemental Health Care in a Veteran Population.   Presented by Katherine P. Rearden / PhD, LCSW-BACS, ACSW, BCD.   Willis-Knighton Innovation Center in the Banquet Room, 2105 Airline Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111.   This seminar will address the development and implementation of the Telehealth Care Initiative within a Veteran patient population. Application of videoconferencing to enhance mental health care access will be presented. Practice considerations for the employment and use of web based internet and mobile technology to complex patient care needs will be addressed.  Topics will include core competencies recommended to prepare practitioners to conduct videoconferencing mental health care, patient assessment, suicide prevention, emergency procedures, and ethical considerations.  6.0 Clinical/Ethical hours.  Pre-registration deadline is 6/7/19.  Limited to 100 participants.
