Through lecture, discussions, individual and group exercises, participants will be able to gain knowledge, techniques and skills to understand and deal with the spiritual/religious beliefs, practices, values and struggles of clients with whom they work as ethical professional social workers. Participants will learn to differentiate between spirituality and religion and to appreciate the broad array of orientations toward things sacred clients bring with them to the treatment experience. 6.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 5/18/18. Limited to 45 participants.
