This presentation will take an in-depth look at the impact of social on Major Depressive and Anxiety Disorder. Through increased understanding, participants will be better able to identify how self-esteem and lack of human connectedness are weakened by perceptions and cognitive distortions. Participants will become more aware of the adverse implications of interactive social media including psychological distress, anxiousness, and impairment in social interactions. The presentation will focus on better ways to identify negative emotions associated with social networking and healthier strategies to manage them. 3.0 Clinical hours.
