March 19, 2021 - 9:00am - 12:15pm.  A Social Work Approach to Treating Chronic Pain as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team.  Chronic low back pain is one of the most common health problem among Americans, resulting in high healthcare utilization.  A recent review showed that adults in the United States who have low back pain are more likely to be of lower SES and unemployed. Treating chronic pain from a multidisciplinary approach can help both the physical and mental health impacts of chronic pain. This presentation will focus on research/outcomes and implementation of a multidisciplinary chronic pain program in New Orleans.  3.0 Clinical hours.
