2030: Yoga Philosophy as a Tool in Psychotherapy.
2030: April 17, 2020; 8:30 am - 11:45 am. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (Alexandria). Yoga Philosophy as a Tool in Psychotherapy. Presented by Rev. Andrea Vidrine, LCSW. The Arts Council of Central Louisiana, 1101 4th Street, Suite 201, 2nd Floor, Class Room D, Alexandria LA 71301. Yoga is a philosophical system that provides a holistic approach to well-being, addressing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of a person. In this workshop, we will explore the concept of yoga as a tool in psychotherapy, discuss the obstacles to yoga, identify the methods to overcoming these obstacles, explore the four paths to yoga and their relevance to personal temperament, introduce the concept of non-dualism, and participate in 3 practices that help to interrupt the mental commentary. 3.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 4/10/20. Limited to 30 participants.
