(Covington).  Recognizing and Working With All Aspects of Domestic Violence.  Presented by Rose Daigle, MA, LPC, LMFT, DVC, RT.  Covington Behavioral Health, 201 Greenbrier Blvd., Covington, LA 70433.   This workshop provides a comprehensive look at all types of abuse and violence that can develop within families as well as other interpersonal relationships.  This discussion includes aspects of spousal abuse, child abuse and neglect, parental abuse and elder abuse as well as dynamics of verbal, physical and emotional abuse.  Participants will learn about the features that are present within abusive relationships including potential short and long term consequences.  The impact of domestic violence on the brain as well as the potential for PTSD will be discussed.  Therapeutic techniques to empower victims will be presented.  6.0 Clinical hours. Pre-registration deadline is 1/31/20.  Limited to 80 participants.
