2003: Weird Science!
2003: Feb 7, 2020; 8:30 am - 11:45 am. Registration begins at 8:15 am. (Shreveport). Weird Science! Presented by Gary Tiemann, LCSW. Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital, 8001 Youree Drive, 2nd Floor Auditorium, Shreveport, LA 71118. In this presentation neglected areas in the study of “mind” will be reviewed. Starting with the “spooky” (as Einstein called it) phenomenon of quantum physics, a theoretical framework will be presented that will add perspective to areas and topics such as placebo, hypnosis, spontaneous remissions and other often avoided but documented phenomenon. These matters of “mind” have direct implications to all areas from micro to macro social work. 3.0 General hours. Pre-registration deadline is 1/31/20. Limited to 27 participants.
