(Covington).   Autistic Spectrum Disorder 1: Diagnosis, Support, Therapeutic Interaction and Social Skills Group.  Presented by Lisa Donze Jacob, LCSW.   Covington Behavioral Health, 201 Greenbrier Blvd., Covington, LA 70433 .  This seminar will provide information regarding the diagnostic criteria of the DSM5 for Autistic Spectrum Disorder in males and new insight regarding females on the spectrum.  Participants will gain helpful information to provide therapeutic support, information on self-advocacy and social support group design for adults on the autistic spectrum as well as support for parents of children on the spectrum.  The second half of this presentation will look at the developmental and facilitation of Social Skill Group for youth aged 9-17 as well as social support efforts for older youth no longer in primary education.  6.0 Clinical hours.   Pre-registration deadline is 3/29/19.  Limited to 80 participants.
