Engendering Hope for Transformational Change.  Research has demonstrated that the relationship between the client and therapist is the most critical aspect for successful treatment. The therapist’s role is primarily to create a setting by which clients recover their self-concept and regain a sense of self-sufficiency; however, hope is the foundation upon which change happens. This workshop will explore a theoretical understanding of transformation that often transcends specific theoretical models. The presentation will incorporate concepts of motivational interviewing.  Presented by:  Jack Perkins, D.Min., LADC, CSAC, CCLC.  3.0 Clinical.  Member:  $50 / Non-Member $85.
