Catholic Charities has a contract with the Department of Social Services to provide assessment and case management services to families living in FEMA travel trailer communities located throughout the state.  Currently the travel trailer sites are in the following parishes:  Iberia, St. Mary, Jefferson, Beauregard, Grant, Avoyelles, Ouachita, Concordia, Claiborne, and Bossier.  The work involves quick assessments on the residents to determine their immediate and short-term human services needs and to connect them to needed services in the local area of the travel trailer.  These are not full time positions and are paid on an hourly basis depending on the need of the population in the travel trailer sites.  Hourly payment will be $20.00 per hour for GSW or LCSW and $15 per hour for RSW.   Contact Tom Costanza at 225-303-7475 or email tcostanza@archdiocese-no.org

Project SERV Mobile Teams

 

The Louisiana Department of Education’s Coordinated School Health Program seeks certified classroom teachers, counselors, and school social workers for mobile training teams. They will provide training and consultation to schools in the implementation of interventions to address post-Katrina/Rita traumatic experiences in children and adults statewide.  The teams will be trained in Department-approved “train-the-trainer” modules that cover stress management, relaxation techniques, communication skills, and recognition of referral conditions that require professional interventions.

 

Mobile team members will contract with the Department of Education and receive compensation for training sessions conducted on behalf of the Department of Education.

Coastal Center provides treatment services in Coos, Curry, and Western Lane Counties.  We also provide services to domestic violent offenders in Coos County.  Currently about 150 clients are being served in both the domestic violence program and the adult sexual offender program.  We are currently providing services to about 30 adolescents who have offended.  General responsibilities include conducting assessments, individual, couple, family, and group therapy, case management, and coordinating with other agencies.

 

We are seeking a qualified mental health professional to fill this position.  Recent experience treating sexual offenders is essential. Provider must be willing to work within the context of a team and adhere to ATSA guidelines.  Salary is competitive and negotiable upon relevant experience with a comprehensive benefits package included.
