Project SERV
The
Louisiana Department of Education’s Coordinated School Health Program seeks
certified classroom teachers, counselors, and school social workers for mobile
training teams. They will provide training and consultation to schools in the
implementation of interventions to address post-Katrina/Rita traumatic
experiences in children and adults statewide.
The teams will be trained in Department-approved “train-the-trainer”
modules that cover stress management, relaxation
techniques, communication skills, and recognition of referral conditions that
require professional interventions.
Mobile team members will contract with the Department of Education and receive compensation for training sessions conducted on behalf of the Department of Education.
